Concert for Nepal

Concert for Nepal Jazz Central StudiosOn Friday, May 22nd Jazz Central Studios will be hosting a special fundraising event, Concert for Nepal organized by Nepali American Saxophonist/Composer/Educator Pawan Benjamin.

Raised in Nepal, Pawan has been compelled to start a Crowdrise Fundraiser to support rebuilding and relief of Suspa, a rural village in Nepal with family connections. Suspa among many other remote villages were hardest hit by recent earthquakes and very few aid organizations have been able to reach them.

The concert will feature Pawan and friends from the Twin Cities that he met while studying at the Manhattan School of Music in New York. They will be performing a unique mix of traditional Nepali music, jazz, and soul. We have asking for a $20 minimum donation with all proceeds from the concert going to the fundraiser.

Please come support our local musicians, enjoy the music, and give what you can to Pawan’s rebuild and relief campaign.
