As Stuart Dempster once said: “trombone is more of a disease than an instrument.” Trombonist Gus Murphy recently moved to the Twin Cities after graduating from Lawrence University in Appleton, Wisconsin. Tonight, Gus presents new compositions and arrangements with a sextet of other recent Lawrentian transplants.
