About NCU Jazz Workshop:
North Central University’s Jazz Workshop is designed as a training ground for virtuosos in multiple genres, serving the Twin Cities community for over 15 years. Jazz Workshop was under the direction of the late Bobby Peterson until his untimely death in 2002. It was then that Peter Shu, a protege of Mr. Peterson, was given the reigns and continued the well-laid legacy of creating a habitat in which talent can grow and flourish through serious study and building a solid work ethic through a vigorous performance calendar. NCU Jazz Workshop placed 3rd overall in the Eau Claire Jazz Festival College Combos category.
