Scat Singing Fundamentals I is an excellent primer for new jazz/scat singers. We will cover the basics – what is scat singing?, how to pick syllables, how to pick notes and how to put it all together so you can start to scat sing during songs. The key to scat singing effortlessly is to access and share your personal language and perspective. We begin with straightforward, step-by-step exercises that get you scat singing in ways that are easy for you.

Scat Singing Fundamentals I is a perfect fit for new scat singers or as a review for folks looking to brush up the skills they learned in previous workshops.

This workshop is open to singers of all levels, from beginners to professionals, who want to learn how to scat sing and improvise in songs and other standard forms. Previous experience scat singing is NOT necessary.

This workshop is part of a series. Package and student pricing are available. http://www.sarahmgreer. com/workshops to learn more.
