Will Kjeer is a pianist and composer from Saint Paul, Minnesota. With a love for many musical styles and a deep background in jazz and classical music, he has performed throughout North America at venues such as the Twin Cities and Iowa jazz festivals, the John F. Kennedy Center for Performing Arts in Washington DC, the Los Angeles County Museum of Art, and the Upstairs Jazz Club in Montreal, Quebec. Will is an alumni of Betty Carter’s Jazz Ahead Program, as well as Ravinia’s Steans Music Institute.
Now in its 3rd year, Will’s Trio Project features original music that encompasses his wide range of musical influences, from European folk music to classical impressionist to modern jazz, R&B, rock, and pop. Will is currently based in Los Angeles, where his Trio Project recently won the Angel City Jazz Festival Young Artist Competition for performer/composers.
