Jon Wood, Minnesota Jazz Guitar Summit

Jon Wood, Minnesota Jazz Guitar SummitWe would like to send a special shout out to Jon “Woody” Wood.

Jon has been serving as Event Host Coordinator for Jazz Central Studios on top of lending his talents as a guitarist who participates regularly in the Monday Jam Sessions and monthly as guitarist for the Cedar Avenue Big Band. What’s even more, Jon has single-handedly produced, organized and raised funds for an event he calls the Minnesota Jazz Guitar Summit which is taking place at Jazz Central Studios on the 18th of this month.

As we are blessed with a web-master, 11 curators, 7+ event hosts and countless volunteer musicians who directly effect daily goings-on at JCS, we are especially proud of this young man’s tenacity, enthusiasm and general hustle that it took to make this event happen and consider this an ‘above and beyond.’

Thank you Jon!

The Minnesota Jazz Guitar Summit is hosted by Jazz Central Studios on Sunday, January 18th beginning at 4pm. The Summit will feature a mix of up-and-coming young players as well as established performers who have been active in the Twin Cities music scene for years. Click here to view event details!
