After a long hiatus, byerself is returning as an entirely reimagined project. Greg will explore several new originals that range from jazz fusion to singer-songwriter. Joining him are close friends L.A. Buckner on drums and Javier Santiago on keys. This show starts a week long tour of the midwest; come help kick off the tour in grand fashion!

Featuring 18 of the Twin Cities’s top musicians, the areas sole Latin Jazz Orchestra is led by trumpeter Geoff West Senn and percussionist Mac Santiago. They will be performing some of the most intensely rhythmic and dynamic music that the jazz genre has to offer. This music has been a part of the American scene since Jellyroll Morton’s “Latin Tinge” and has to be experienced live to be believed!

Mankwe Ndosi is a Twin Cities-based performer and composer who uses an expanded vocabulary of singing to express emotion, story and spirit. She works with artists in all media, and living beings of all kinds. She performs nationally and internationally, and has appeared with Nicole Mitchell, The Give Get Sistet, Mike Ladd, Sharon Bridgforth, Laurie Carlos, George Lewis, Medium Zach, I-Self Devine, Ananya Dance Theatre, Atmosphere, and Douglas Ewart – stalwart of Chicago’s Association for the Advancement of Creative Music. Ndosi is a Wild Plant Woman and a Culture Worker who uses creative practice to nurture human connections to others, our ancestors, and the earth.

Vicky Mountain sings in Spring with David Martin on guitar and Jim Chenoweth on bass – along with a surprise guest or two. Standards, originals, jazzy “oldies” and some songs you’ve never heard before will fit up the two sets nicely.
Vanessa will bring some mouth-watering food – savory and sweet – and you will be in very good company.
