Monday Night Featured Artist & Jam Session | 8:30 – 11pm

ANDREW SCHWANDT

$10 admission. $5 with a student ID or musicians with instruments.

A Twin Cities native, Andrew has been living and working for the past two years in New York City.  Recently, he’s been performing regularly with Gerry Eastman’s band at Williamsburg Music Center in Brooklyn, as well as with several other groups around the five boroughs.

Andrew is visiting from NYC and reconnecting with his former band mates from Twin Cities group Fuzzy Math (fresh off their 3rd CD release) for an evening of eclectic original jazz and creative pop covers.

Hosted by Monday’s Featured Artist following the first set.  All are welcome and encouraged to participate regardless of experience level.

 

Tuesday Big Band | 8:30 – 10:30pm

EXPLOSION BIG BAND

$10 admission. $5 with a student ID.

Led by chief detonators Doug Haining, sax, and Scott Agster, trombone, the EXPLOSION big band draws from the area’s finest musicians. The EXPLOSION is ready to detonate with the classic sounds of Count Basie, Duke Ellington, and more modern sounds of Thad Jones, Clare Fischer, Pat Metheny and others. The EXPLOSION ignites big band chestnuts, blasts into rock, erupts into swing, and will provide the BIG BANG at any concert or event. A big band of explosive magnitude, the EXPLOSION will get your feet tapping, your hands clapping and get you ready for lift off!

The Hunter Delikowski Quartet provides a tasteful, refreshing, and yet experimental blend of historical jazz genres with contemporary influences. What started as a collective to study, perform, and enjoy personal favorite jazz influences quickly evolved into a diverse quartet. The quartet draws colors from all varieties and eras of jazz, funk, rock, and more.

JAMBE is a monthly jazz series exploring jazz from the world by local Minneapolis world jazz ensembles.

The StellaRoma Duo is joined by David Stenshoel for a night of “world music from another world.” Three uniquely talented musicians join to combine ancient and future, East and West, into a stirring mix of “progressive world music” with futuristic flavors.
