Hosted by Monday’s Featured Artist following the first set.  All are welcome and encouraged to participate regardless of experience level.

 

Tuesday Big Band | 8:30 – 10:30pm

EXPLOSION BIG BAND

$10 admission. $5 with a student ID.

Led by chief detonators Doug Haining, sax, and Scott Agster, trombone, the EXPLOSION big band draws from the area’s finest musicians. The EXPLOSION is ready to detonate with the classic sounds of Count Basie, Duke Ellington, and more modern sounds of Thad Jones, Clare Fischer, Pat Metheny and others. The EXPLOSION ignites big band chestnuts, blasts into rock, erupts into swing, and will provide the BIG BANG at any concert or event. A big band of explosive magnitude, the EXPLOSION will get your feet tapping, your hands clapping and get you ready for lift off!

Wednesday Touring Artist Special | 7:30pm & 9pm

MATEUSZ SMOCZYNSKI SOLO

$15 admission. $8 with student ID.

After four years of performing and recording with the Turtle Island Quartet (world’s most famous jazz string quartet) Mateusz Smoczynski returns to the US with his own project. The tour will promote his latest release “Metamorphoses” featuring his original compositions. The music on the album reflects a wide variety of inspirations such as: classical music, jazz, Polish and American folk.

Come and enjoy some spontaneous collaboration, hosted by guitarist Cole Mahlum. This weekly jam session is open to musicians of all ages and levels of experience.
