Leigh Kamman Emerging Masters Night: Aberration Combo
Originally meeting at an Experience Jazz program, this combo is composed of excellent musicians from all over the Twin Cities. Aberration is focused on playing innovative forms of jazz, playing songs from Ornette Coleman all the way to Stereolab. Aberration is not afraid to break boundaries.

Ataa Mensah - Drums
Ataa-Adjetey Mensah is a drummer and composer who’s versed in jazz, African drumming, hip-hop,
R&B and other contemporary styles. His diverse influences and diverse background allow for
exploration into combined, playful, intense, dynamic music that connects him, the rest of the
musicians, and the listeners.
Lewis Williams - Upright & Electric Bass
Lewis has been playing Upright bass for 8 years, and electric bass for 5 years. He draws inspiration
from Gary Burton, Tortoise, Frank Zappa, and many more. He is also into electronic music, and
provides the combo with their electronics, much of which he modifies himself. Outside of music, he
dabbles in screen printing and fashion.
Kai Sartin - Alto & Tenor Saxophone
Kai is an alto and tenor player from Woodbury MN. He became really invested in saxophone and Jazz
a few years ago, and is influenced by the sounds of players like Michael Brecker and Kenny Garrett.
Finn Black - Vocals, Keys, & Electronics
Finn is a jazz vocalist and keyboardist, with a background in choral singing. Her biggest influences
include Tigran Hamasyan and Erykah Badu. Outside of music she loves gaming, working on creative
projects and acting in plays.
Luca Cavaletti - Alto Saxophone
Luca Cavalletti is a young musician who performs and co-leads several combos. He draws inspiration
from Charlie Parker, Vincent Herring, and Patrick Bartley.
Harrison Cha - Keys & Guitar
Harrison Cha is a pianist and guitarist with a passion for early jazz of the 1920s and '30s. His influences
include the Harlem stride of James P. Johnson and Fats Waller, as well as the guitar improvisations of
Django Reinhardt. When not playing music, he enjoys sewing and golfing.
