Solo Piano: Steven Hobert

Steven Hobert will present a solo piano concert.  

Steven's transportive sound on piano, accordion, vocals and composition comes from the heart embodys Wonder and Mystery. He seeks to facilitate playfulness, healing, provoke compassion and warmly sink into the moment. His music has been described as “viscerally inspiring,” and “fires up imaginations.” Steven performs on  as a soloist, with jazz project Sirclesound, the world beat-driven ensemble FireFlyForest, and Oudyano with renowned Syrian oud player Issam Rafea.

To shine a light on our recently acquired Steinway B, as well as Minneapolis' masterful pianists, Jazz Central Studios will present a solo piano concert the first Wednesday of each month.  This solo concert series pays homage to jazz piano great, Art Resnick. Through cooperation with Perfect Pitch Piano (Jason Rupert) and Gale Fraser, Art's wife, this beautiful instrument will continue to play jazz.
